From Idea → Evidence: Mentoring at ACS Athens Open
Thursday, November 6, 2025
Last month (October 2025), I delivered a workshop for the ACS Athens Open student entrepreneurship program. The talk was a practical path from idea → evidence — built for students, but relevant to any team shipping under uncertainty.
What I covered
- Discovery made doable: Job Statements and “show-me” interviews to move past opinions.
- Evidence over intuition: a 24-hour micro-test loop to validate one assumption at a time.
- A real-world lens: a case example on reducing “rogue spreadsheets” to speed decisions.
Why it matters
- Small, repeatable loops de-risk ambition without slowing momentum.
- Clarity on the job-to-be-done aligns product, design, and go-to-market.
- Teams that measure learning (not just output) compound faster.

Grateful to the ACS Athens Open team for building a space where students turn ideas into tangible products with real community impact.
